Why does it sometimes happen that a trade is not made in my account, but it is in the strategy provider account?

Answer: Below is ICMarkets’ answer.

We have checked your trade and can see that your order was rejected by the system with the error “Failed to fill any volume from liquidity sources.”

This means that due to low liquidity at the time, there were no available prices to fill your request.

When there is a lack of liquidity in the Underlying Instrument you may not be able to enter or exit a Transaction at your requested price. IC Markets offer its clients a market execution model.

This means all the trades are executed at the first available price received from our hedge counterparties once an order has been triggered.

Your orders are filled automatically at the best prices possible from our hedge counterparties from where our prices are derived. We do not have a dealing desk (NDD), and we are not in control of any price movements while we execute your trade. Thus, we do not offer guaranteed executions for any orders.

As a trader yourself, you are aware that exotic pairs are inherently prone to thin liquidity and as such increased volatility, this is further exacerbated in times of lower liquidity such as the market opening.
