When NOT to Start or Quit Copy Trading?

The forex ends its day at 5pm New York time. We do not recommend starting or ending copy trading between 4pm and 7pm New York time as spreads are up to 10x higher during this time. Here is a link where you can see that: https://www.oanda.com/rw-en/trading/historical-spreads/

For example, if you stop copying over the weekend, then all open positions will be closed at Sunday’s opening at 5pm AT MARKET. That’s not very smart, and costs a lot of money. It is exactly the same when you start copying at the weekend. Then cTrader buys all open positions on Sunday at 5 p.m. New York time in the depot at massively higher prices, since the spreads are up to 10 times as high.
